We only bought this stand 4 weeks ago from John Lewis. We are selling it because we have since installed a wall bracket for the TV. It is fairly large, it took our 42 inch LCD Television perfectly fine. I think that 40 is a bargain considering we paid more than double 4 weeks ago and it is in immaculate condition.
